Hi-Rez selects INAP for their expertise to redesign a visionary hosting environment that meets the company’s current and future infrastructure needs for scalability, redundancy and low latency.
INAP’s Managed Hosting and Network Services will ensure excellent gameplay experiences for all of Hi-Rez’s critically acclaimed video games; including Smite, Paladins and Hand of the Gods.
ATLANTA, GA – (Nov. 20, 2017) – Internap Corporation (NASDAQ: INAP), a provider of high-performance internet infrastructure including Colocation, Managed Services and Hosting, Cloud and High-Performance Network Services, and Hi-Rez Studios, an award winning online games publisher, today announced a multi-year renewal agreement for managed hosting and network services at INAP’s Atlanta data center.
As a loyal costumer of 10 years, Hi-Rez chose to stay with INAP as the host of their gaming environment due to INAP’s ability to support a flexible managed hosting solution built to improve scalability and redundancy, including a completely redesigned storage platform to fulfill Hi-Rez’s critical low latency requirements.
In addition to the new hosting design, improvements will also be made in Hi-Rez’s network set-up that increases redundancy and ensures 100% uptime for their games. Hi-Rez will also utilize INAP’s new CloudConnectionTM service in Atlanta, which provides direct connectivity to AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
As part of staying with INAP, Hi-Rez will migrate their managed hosting environment from INAP’s partner site in Atlanta to INAP’s primary facility in downtown Atlanta.
“We are pleased to continue our work with Hi-Rez,” said Mike Higgins, INAP COLO’s Sr. Vice President of Sales and Customer Service. “Hi-Rez has been a valued customer of INAP for the last 10 years. Through our continued partnership, our engineers worked collaboratively with the Hi-Rez team to redesign their managed hosting environment to support their current and future infrastructure needs including the expansion of their games from PC to mobile.”
“Our relationship with INAP has been one of partnership over the years,” said Todd Harris, Co-Founder & COO. “INAP’s understanding of our business model and its willingness to provide a customized solution to fit our needs for scalability, redundancy and low latency made our decision to relocate and extend our agreement an easy one.”
